(Tools #11 – #13) Select EO candidate Description After the interview has been conducted, the NRB should offer the position to the top candidate. Salary and start date should be negotiated at this time. Some NRBs may require a formal vote to make a job offer, while agency-driven actions may call for a member of the state personnel department to make the job offer. Salary approvals and timing vary widely between states with some states requiring approval from their governor’s office and/or state personnel/strategic hiring. The NRB needs to be knowledgeable about their state specific requirements.
