In the 2024 legislative session the nominee led legislative efforts to amend the practice act for nurse practitioners and nurse midwives to include the APRN licensure title. This effort included working with the Board of Medical Examiners to gain support to move forward with this legislative change. The nurse practice act for CRNAs and CNSs was also amended to include the APRN title and to clarify the licensing of CRNAs. This legislation was approved by the legislature and was signed by the Governor.
