. • Revocation. In accordance with Section 464.0095, Article III, paragraph 4, Respondent’s privilege to practice as a registered nurse in Florida is revoked. Florida Case Scenarios Nurse MC held a Georgia multistate license and was working at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. The nurse had access to the facility’s Omnicell medication system. The nurse removed fentanyl from the system, replaced it with saline, and placed the tampered vial back in the Omnicell inventory. The fentanyl was diverted for personal use.

Louise McManus Award – Example 2 Implementation of substantial elements of the APRN Consensus Model. In the 2024 legislative session the nominee led legislative efforts to amend the practice act for nurse practitioners and nurse midwives to include the APRN licensure title. This effort included working with the Board of Medical Examiners to gain support to move forward with this legislative change. The nurse practice act for CRNAs and CNSs was also amended to include the APRN title and to clarify the licensing of CRNAs. This legislation was approved by the legislature and was signed by the Governor.
