So a primer on that would be to know that most of the links are associated on the left side of the page that's where you're going to get to the topic headings that, that will expand to broader contact links and get you to the information that you need. If you'll note, toward the bottom of the stack, you'll see that the NLC Commission Member Resources are located toward the bottom and it just makes it easier for you to find that. I know that when I first joined the compact and when I was looking at the compact, I went to this site frequently to be able to locate the information that I felt that I needed in order to progress with getting the legislative session passed. But I think this, the agility, the flexibility, I think, are active words moving us... continually moving us forward. And I think that's been my understanding of NCSBN in assisting us in standardizing things that we can standardize and providing leadership globally.

And by the end of the third day or maybe the fourth day, educators I think went home feeling like, "Hey, I think I really get this. I think I understand this. I think I could probably create my own without Emily or other NCSBN coaches." The magic, of course, is to try to take that 4-day experience and condense it into something like a 90-minute or even a half-day webinar, and see if it can still be effective.

It's really been a joy getting to kind of collaborate with you, see what's going on at the state level, see how maybe some of your interests intersect with some of the research efforts that we're spearheading here at NCSBN. So I would say, if you haven't yet had the opportunity to bump into me, and you want to catch my ear, please don't hesitate if you see me in the hallways. I would love it. And in the spirit of introductions, I would be remiss if I didn't take the opportunity, I gave him a forewarning, so I think all is fair.

So that is really financially worth the board's efforts there. And that's a big concern. It's something we need to be aware of. An attraction of the ATD approach is no longer what it once was. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 12 And I really believe this. Again, this is my personal opinion. You know, 10, 12, 15 years ago, there was this new shiny thing called Alternative to Discipline, and everybody looked at it and said, "Wow, you know, I can report and I can get help, and I won't be disciplined, and I won't lose mylicense."

I learned so much along the way. Even though I had some experience in the field, I learned a lot through partnerships with the National Council. I was able to get some mentors from the NCSBN to help with the research. So I would say go for it. Don't be afraid.

And we've got an amazing research department here at NCSBN. Now, as I wrap up, I have a real coming, it is out now actually. When I was preparing this, it was coming soon near you. But we've recently released the call for papers for the next special issue, which will come in 2027. Every two years, JNR publishes a special issue.
