[RN, year 3] Focus on Physiologic Changes A pt recently had a very high temp which I found during my vital signs check. I called the doctor for an order for med for temp, administered it when pharmacy sent it up to the floor and continued to check temp frequently. Temp decreased somewhat but remained elevated for all of shift. Gave med every 4 hours as ordered and passed this information on to the next shift.
