Clicking on the document, I now come to Document View where you can see a number of things. For one thing, a PDF preview of the document, but also the ability to download, print the document, or even add comments. Example, I might say, loved this paper and hit Send. Scrolling up a bit, you'll also see a checkout feature.

Okay, and I think we're going to go into the question phase. I kind of went through this a little fast to give you more time to ask us questions, so thank you for your time and talk to you soon.

They have just put out a position statement that I got to read. Pretty good stuff. Very similar to what we're talking about today. Louisiana, we talked. They're talking about tons of cases coming in. But I appreciate all of your time and attention today, and thanks for having us to present. And now I will open it up for questions or comments, which Paul will gladly answer. - I think we're out of time. - Okay.

Yes. However, for me, I’m a researcher, so I represent the result to you. But definitely… But definitely the NCSBN and also will walk with the board to go through this finding to try to identify the real barriers and try to move forward. Yeah. Thank you. That’s really great. Next step. So, if there is no further question, I think I will pass the podium to our next speaker.

I was finally able to meet many NCSBN staff members whom I often email, but had never met in person. I decided to sit down with members from my neighboring state of Maryland. Pamela Burris saw my name tag and said, “Come with me!” She took me to the First Time Attendee table and I was welcomed with a new member gift (chocolate is always a winner in my book!)

All rights reserved. 2 I feel incredibly proud to be one of several Washington recipients of awards from NCSBN beginning in 2013 when Dr. Susan Woods received the same award and then served as my mentor as I began my own journey into nursing regulation. We were elated in 2015 when Washington State reserved the Regulatory Achievement Award, and I follow in the footsteps of other esteemed Washington colleagues who have been similarly honored.

From her, I learned the importance and value of policy and the role that we as nurses need to play in directing that agenda. I also learned that you can have an enduring impact on people, even though the duration of that contact is brief. The final reflection comes from monthly meetings I used to have with Dr.

We are fortunate to have a CEO such as David. Now, on to some comments reflective of this past year. It's not possible to delve into all the specifics of the Board of Directors report that you will find beginning on page 16 of the Business Book. In the time I have with you, I will focus on some key activities in areas that influence the business of NCSBN and the work of the Board. As I regularly report to you in my post, NCSBN Board Member Communications, one of the activities that the Board undertakes is to conduct an environmental scan at each meeting.

As I said, I will tell you a little bit about our structure as a regulator. We have 12 jurisdictions representing the provinces and the territories as our core group. And each -- it is a separate purely about federated model that eats authority to regulate registered nurses are NPs falls within that jurisdiction.
