Spector-Silvestre-The-Effects-of-the-COVID-19-Pandemic-on-Nursing-Education-Programs.pdf
Additionally, the participants had to recall previous situations and may not have accurately remembered what occurred during the pandemic. CONCLUSION This survey found nursing education suffered immensely during the pandemic. Oftentimes, students were not able to care for patients directly, and their didactic classes were 100% remote. When students were able to have clinical experiences in health care settings, the students or their nursing program often had to provide PPE. Faculty and students reported dif- ficulties in adjusting so quickly to alternative teaching strate- gies. There was increased student and faculty attrition during the pandemic, particularly during 2021.

So, as I mentioned, from 2009, we kind of started a conversation, but then we also did a very thorough...the literature review to see how the current literature say about that one. ©2019 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 So, we have a lot of research doing on that one. And from the research, from the literature view, we found that there are some accepted models for nursing clinical judgment. Next, we'll talk about the extension of that model to polytomous scoring for partial credit. For a quick overview, as you know, today, the exam is scored by having each one of the items scored either right or wrong, zero or one. This is why it's called a dichotomous model, because there are only two outcomes. The polytomous model just extends this approach to allow for more than two possible outcomes. Rather than just all right or all wrong, there will be the potential for getting partial credit. We'll see more about this later.
