But that was a little problem for us that NCSBN helped us with was because they didn't have social security numbers. So our data is cleansed we're ready to go. So the migration for us, let me say again, that NCSBN team was always there for us always there. But as I think about sharing documents, the only document for us that raises a red flag, and perhaps we need to change and we probably then would change the way we're doing business is when I require the medical records of a respondent, the first thing that I do is I send out an authorization to release medical records. And on that authorization form, it specifically states that those records will be released to the Washington State Department of Health in order to ascertain your ability to safely practice.

And we were talking about that in academia for a long time before I came into regulation. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 8 And so that transitions to what our new graduate said about preceptors and having one preceptor. The problem with that is that, hospitals are still based on a medical model. And so we have medical units, and surgical units, and pediatric units, and maternal child units. And the nurses that work in those units that serve as preceptors are skilled and experts in that segment of the discipline. So it's really difficult for a pediatric nurse to be teaching you ICU skills when you're doing critical care.
