Leader to Leader, Fall'05 FINAL
NCSBN has sponsored the APRN Roundtable since 1995 to discuss common issues of concern and to promote communication with APRN organizations, including APRN certification programs. Many boards of nursing use APRN certifi- cation examinations as one criterion for advanced practice licensure. Information about the RN and APRN compacts and NCSBN’s 2002 position paper on the regulation of APRNs can be found on NCSBN’s Web site at www.ncsbn.org. Please contact Nancy Chornick at nchornick@ncsbn.org if you have questions or need more information. continued on page 2 A&Q Ask NCSBN The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), composed of member boards, provides leadership to advance regulatory excellence for public protection.

SAMPLE_Narrative_Champions.pdf
In the year XXX, the nominee was instrumental in working to secure Senate and House sponsors for the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact and then worked tirelessly throughout the session to ensure that the Compact passed (in its first year of introduction). This was an amazing legislative victory for us! I am confident that we would not have been successful without the nominee’s careful and deliberate lobbying efforts. The nominee was essentially available as a subject matter expert on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis and worked well with the NCSBN Compact Team to facilitate answering last minute queries from legislators and legislative staff. It was common for the nominee to send or respond to emails at all hours of the night and on weekends.
