High-frequency activities are more likely to appear on the NCLEX because they reflect the day-to-day realities of nursing. Next, we asked nurses to rate how important each activity is to client safety or well- being. Importance ratings were recorded using a 5-point scale of 1, Not Important, to 5, Critically Important. Finally, nurses rated the level of clinical judgment required for each activity. These ratings were recorded using a 4-point scale of 1, Not Relevant, to 4, Essential. Respondents were on average just under 32 years old, and the vast majority identified as female.
