Nursys.com is that site of the national database where employers should be going to determine whether a nurse has a multi-state license or not and whether it's active. You go to nursys.com, and go to the Quick Confirm section of that website. And you look to see, first of all, as in the middle here, the license status, if it's unencumbered, meaning there are no restrictions or limitations, and then the final column, compact status, is it multi-state or single-state?
