Yes, I mean there was. The more missed tests does correspond to lower program completion. It's covered elsewhere. There's stronger variables so we didn't really include that in the final presentation. But, yes, there is a link between more missed check-ins and likelihood of not completing the program.

The policy statement acknowledges that with “… the complexity in health care today, the need for systems thinking and the advancement of technology… more nurses are needed in advanced roles.” The statement continues to assert that it’s “… crucial to support the development of new nurse leaders and faculty through the advancement of nursing educa- tion, particularly in light of the severe faculty shortage. Similarly, there is the need for more advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) to meet the primary care needs of the population.” NCSBN’s policy statement makes three recommendations: 1. Additionally, the budget should support training of faculty The simulation center should be coordinated by someone who is experientially and academically qualified and who continues to demonstrate expertise and competence in simulation while managing the program. Faculty who work with simulation, both in the clinical and in didactic courses, should have training and ongoing professional development in the use of simulation. There should be written policies in place on integrating simulation into the curriculum, orienting faculty to simulation and debriefing. One positive of the COVID experience. This past year a common phrase that you have heard is, "You are on mute." There have even been coffee mugs made that include these words. We need to acknowledge however that NCSBN members have not been on mute. Well done, everyone. It has helped me this past year to take note of the positive and to remember that nursing regulators have not been on mute in thought, word, or action.
